Pattern Description:

If you are brand new to foundation paper piecing, or quilting in general, check out the link to my blog. I have created a quick video to get you started. Anyone can do this technique. It is not difficult. It's a great project for strips.

If you're a book lover and a quilter, you will love this little quilt. It's a perfect wall hanging size. If you prefer to make a lap quilt size, you have two options. You could take your pattern print outs to a copy shop and have them increase the size 200% or you can make more than 16 blocks, and arrange them how you like. The pictures reflect this. The last picture is my quilt, in the small size, made with a red bamboo print instead of brown wood.

Print as many copies as you need to practice these blocks.

  • 24" x 27"

  • Sewing machine
  • scissors
  • thread
  • Strips of fabric scraps
