Hearts, the symbol of love, are strategically placed against simple piecing on this set of four table pieces: a table runner, a placemat, a mug rug, and a coaster. Mix and match, make individual items or multiples.

These small seasonal quilts are sure to add a bright and colorful accent to all of your tabletops. They would also make delightful gifts.

The pattern is equally suitable for 5" charm squares, 10" layer cakes, yardage, or scraps from your stash.

Designed for a beginning quilter, the pattern is written with clear, step by step instructions and numerous photos. The piecing is simple, and the quickly fused applique is easy.

The pattern contains cutting and piecing instructions, templates for applique, and instructions for making and attaching the applique hearts. There is also a tutorial for sewing bias binding on the coaster.
