Pattern Description:
At the time when this quilt was designed, my son was serving on the USS Providence, a nuclear submarine stationed out of Groton, Connecticut. When they would leave on a mission, it was called being "underway". So in his honor, this quilt was designed using patriotic colors of red, white and blue. This is a grand, old world style quilt with an elegant pieced ribbon border. It is bold and majestic, just like my pride in all of our servicemen and women.
Materials:
- color 1, light, 2 1/2 yds.
- color 2, dark, 1 3/8 yds.
- color 3, medium, 1 yd.
- color 4, medium, 1 1/2 yds.
- backing fabric 3 3/8 yds.
You Will Also Need:
- rotary cutter, mat, ruler
- thread
- sewing machine
