Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic sewing skills, Rotary cutting skills, Straight piecing

Pattern Description:

When I saw a Moroccan tile that looked like little tumbling diamonds, I had to make it up as a quilt pattern!

Twist and Shout is a really easy pattern to make, probably the easiest one I've made. If you can make a simple rail fence block, then you can easily make the Twist and Shout pattern.

In my sample, I used a blue, red and yellow colour scheme. This particular quilt is heading to a friend who is having a little baby boy in November.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Crib Quilt (36" x 48")
  • Lap Quilt (60" x 72")
  • Twin/Single Quilt (60" x 84")
  • Full/Double Quilt (84" x 84")
  • Queen/King Quilt (96" x 96")

  • Twist and Shout uses 4 colours, a white background, and high contrast colours for the logs and the diamonds.
  • Yardage varies depending on the size of the quilt you make.

You Will Also Need:

  • Backing and batting to finish.
  • Additional fabric for optional borders and binding
