Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Sew a straight line and keep a 1/4" seam allowance
  • Basic quilting knowledge e.g.: how to cut fabric using rotary cutter and ruler and how to square up your completed blocks

Pattern Description:

I designed this quilt to show of some of the great fabrics I had been collecting through Material Obsessions Fabric Club. The neutral background let each individual fabric star shine in its own right. The instructions are clear and it is suitable for an intermediate beginner who wants do a little more that joining squares.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 122cm or 48 inches square


  • Rotary cutter and mat and a quilting rule
  • Sewing machine
  • cotton thread
  • 2.5m (2.8 yards) background fabric
  • 25cm (10") strips of five large print fabrics
  • 25cm x 50cm (10" x 20") strips of large to medium print fabrics

You Will Also Need:

  • Batting and backing requirements not listed in pattern and will depend on your finished quilt size
  • scissors,

  • other basic sewing equipments
