Pattern Description:

This quilt was designed because our family is a bunch of avid skiers and we could not find any skiing patterns we liked. This is just beautiful when you are finished and everyone will go nuts over it! A fantastic family heirloom to keep at a cabin or a great gift to make your favorite skier. There are several quilting techniques use3d such as applique and paper piecing, so it is intended to a more advanced quilter. But don't let that deter you if you are a beginner! If you love this, get some help or take some classes, it will be worth it in the end!

Materials:

  • 15-20 Fat Quarters
  • 3 Yards of cream fabric for the background and borders and posts
  • 1 1/2 yards of a powder blue fabric for the sashing and corner blocks
  • 1/3 yard for the inner border
  • (optional) 9 fabt quarters of wool felt or a regular fabric for the lettering applique on the border
  • fatr quarters is various colors for the applique of the corner blocks
  • 20 5.5" saquares of various fabrics for yo-yo's on boots
  • 4 yards for the backing fabric

You Will Also Need:

  • fabric glue stick
  • velum or anothe rpaper for paper piecing
