I have been fascinated with quilting since I was a little girl sleeping under a Dutch girl quilt my grandmother made. Now that I?m a grandmother myself, I market my original and whimsical designs under the B. Bumble & Co. name. Most of my patterns are designed for a simple freezer paper applique technique, but will work with any method. They are not complicated and most are easy enough for beginners.
I have a blog at http://buzzingandbumbling.blogspot.com/ where you can keep up with my tutorials, tips, and other postings.
This quilt is large enough to cover the top of a bed or to wrap up in when you need a cuddle! It depicts the words to the old folk song about the Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. Children LOVE this song and are delighted to point out each animal in order depicted on the quilt. Although this is large for a wall hanging, it is perfect for the foyer to a school or day care center. It also looks great draped over a crib or bed.
The simple applique technique can be done by hand or machine and you can find a tutorial for it on my blog, Buzzing and Bumbling. I gave this an intermediate rating only because there were so many pieces to applique. It is NOT a difficult quilt at all!
