Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Pattern Description:

This has been a very popular pattern at the shop where I teach. The stockings are only 10" tall, a nice size for decoration and big enough to hold a few special small gifts.

This pattern will show you how to strip piece fabrics to make the blocks used for the checkerboard stocking. You'll also learn a cool technique for making eight half square triangles at a time, using just 2 square pieces of fabric.

My patterns are clearly written and I love to share little helpful tricks I've learned over the years making 100's of goodies to sell at craft shows.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • About 10" tall

  • Per stocking - 4 fat quarters
  • Per stocking - 20" square of batting

You Will Also Need:

  • Rotary cutter and mat

I have been playing with fabric for as long as I can remember. Quilting is my passion. I teach at a local shop and sell my goods at select craft shows in the fall and to primitive shops around the country.

I love to design fun, easy to make projects. My instructions are clearly written with step by step photos or diagrams to ensure your successful completion of the project.
