Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic sewing and patchwork skills, including sewing a 1/4" seam. Letters may be stitched by hand or machine.

Pattern Description:

This simple to make child's quilt will teach your little ones the
alphabet, numbers and colours. The extra-large size (54" x
62") allows the quilt to grow with the child beyond the
crib. Pre-cut fabrics, fusible letters, and no seam matching
between blocks makes sewing a breeze. Pattern includes full
sized letters and numbers printed mirror image, ready for
tracing. Directions for matching cube pillow included.

  • Materials Required: 115 cm (45") wide 1 Stof Peppered Shadow Maple Roll* OR 40, 2-1/2" strips 1 Stof Peppered Shadow Maple Cake* OR 40, 10" squares 1 m (1-1/4 yards) Stof Quilter's Shadow cream* 1.5m (1-1/2 yards) tear- away stabilizer 1.5m (1-1/2 yards) fusible web 3 m (3-1/3 yards) backing fabric 150 cm x 165 cm (60" x 68") batting For cube pillow: 454 grams (1 lb) fibrefill Sewing and quilting thread to match *Sample shown uses Stof Peppered Shadow Maple Roll MR4508B (Brights), Stof Peppered Shadow Maple Cakes MK4508B (Brights), and Stof 4513-102 Quilter's Shadow. Maple Rolls and Maple Cakes are made by Trend-Tex Fabrics
