Quilting

Type:

Home Decor

Item:

Wall Hanging

Skill Level:

little skill level requirement Novice

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to use a sewing machine and some of the fancier stitches. Preferable, you would also have knowledge of fusible applique and cutting out fabrics using rotary cutting tools. If not, you can still learn by referring to quilting books that teach these methods.
  • Machine fused applique is the easiest applique method. So don't feel afraid to give this method a try; if you haven't already done so before.

Pattern Description:

I really enjoy making small wall hanging quilts with fused applique designs, and also love flowers. So, here is a design that will be quick and easy to make.

This PDF pattern has colored illustrations, clear instructions, and full-size templates for the applique pieces that have already been reversed for the fusible applique process. Use my fabric choices as your guide; and have fun with this project.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Wall-hanging quilt - finished size: 23" x 23"

I learned to sew in the seventh grade and added quilting about 11 years ago. I love to challenge myself to learn new techniques and always allow the project to dictate how it will turn out. I hardly ever follow a pattern exactly and love that about quilting.

I believe everyone needs an activity to have that time to get away from the rules and expectations of others to just be themselves. For ...
