Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Your choice of an applique technique; You have made at least one quilt.

Pattern Description:

I am inspired by what I see in nature. The grapes are done in a way that makes them appear three-dimensional. The vine wreaths are cleverly made from short bias strips. This quilt sparkles!

This quilt pattern and its directions have been thoroughly tested.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 32 x 32 inches


  • 1 fat quarter for grapes; 1/2 yard for vines; 1 yard for background and binding; 3/4 yard for leaves, stem & outer border; 1/4 yard totoal of 5 to 10 coordinating fabric scraps for inner border; 1 yard for backing; 1/4 yard for hanging sleeve; 1 yard cottong batting; polyester scraps for stuffing grapes

You Will Also Need:

  • brown, gold, green embroidery floss for tendrils; matching thread for piecing and applique; 6 yards of wide, double-sided fusible webbing or 1/4-inch wide Steam-A-Seam 2; freezer paper; scrap of lightweight cardboard; 1/4-inch wide pressing bar for vias vines; chalk or pencil for marking applique
