I started this quilt with the intention of trying out lots of new techniques which I had fallen in love with whilst poring over my quilting books and wanted to put into practice. It very much is a sample quilt incorporating seminole and pinwheel patchwork, as well as a braided border and applique designs.
When designing the quilt I was torn between 'sweet dreams' and 'Pretty in Pink'. I have included templates for 'sweet dreams' but in fact you could write whatever you want. Maybe a child's name or birthdate. You could even decorate the central panel with hearts or butterflies. Your imagination is the only limit.
I decided to hand quilt this design but the quilting patterns could easily be replicated with machine quilting.
I hope you enjoy making this quilt as much as I did!
