Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to cut and piece, some pieces are fairly small but manageable.

Pattern Description:

I had been thinking of making a sampler quilt, and this is what happened! I really enjoyed making it although there are quite a few small squares involved! It went together well and was very satisfying to make. Whilst there are lots of smallish pieces, the blocks are not difficult to assemble and it is a great way of using up some of those bits and pieces of fabric in your stash!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx. 88" square

  • Assorted small amounts of different coloured fabric for blocks and border totaling 2 1/2 yards
  • Assorted different, but similar, light coloured fabrics for blocks and sashing totaling 4yards
  • Assorted fabrics for the dark surrounds of the blocks totaling 1 yard
  • Sashing posts 1/2 yard
  • Setting triangles around edge 1/2 yard
  • Assorted fabrics for borders and binding 2 3/4 yards

You Will Also Need:

  • Batting 96" square
  • Backing 96" square
  • General sewing supplies
