Pattern Description:

I designed Surfing Safari for a friend as a gift for her newborn nephew. His parents had decided on a tropical, beachy theme for his nursery, and she wanted a gift that would fit that theme. It is such a fun, colorful accent, and makes a great gift for kids of all ages who love the beach!!

Since making the original, I have made several variations for friends, family and customers.

This pattern is for a pillow, but several surfboard tops in a variety of fabric combinations would make a really cool wall hanging or quilt! I think I'm going to have to make one now!

Note: I had so much fun making the original pillow, I made "Mookie" the monkey and matching board shorts to go with it!

The instructions are detailed and walk you step-by-step through the applique, quilting and sewing steps to complete your pillow.
