A close friend has been going through some stressful times lately. The other day she mentioned that she could use some sunshine in her day. That set my thoughts in motion, so I made up this little mug rug for her and filled it with sunshine and a pretty cup. Then I rolled the mug rug. tucked it into a real cup, and gave it to her. I was so pleased to see a smile light up her face for a change!
The pattern for this mug rug contains 3 pages of instructions, one page with a full size layout of the pattern, one page of templates, and a page of the foundation paper for the background.

In my photos you may catch glimpses of my 1952 Singer 201 sewing machine. It's the best machine I've ever owned, sews a perfect seam, and never needs repairs. I use it for all of my straight stitching and I save the fancy new machine for decorative stitching and FMQ.
