I was inspired by a beautiful summer sunset at my house: The Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia. I always loved the bright reds and blues you see in the sky. I also had my peonies flower bed in full bloom, so I took a picture. I searched on line and I found batik fabrics very similar to the colors in my picture, I purchased the fabric and started to design the quilt. I'm very proud of this project: it was accepted by the American Quilters Society to be displayed in one of their shows.

I actually fell in love with the art of quilting after I moved to Montana 15 years ago. After making challenging patterns designed by famous quilters I decided to try designing patterns of my own. I have been designing patterns for about 7 years. I initially made my quilts for myself and my kids, but I was encouraged by my husband and my friends to start my own company and share my patterns with other quilters. I also love digitizing. If something catches my eyes I try to put it on fabric or embroidery
