Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Sewing accurate 1/4" seams
  • Rotary cutting skills

Pattern Description:

Great for LARGE PRINTS -- Show off one of your beautiful large prints in this quilt pattern.

It looks difficult, but it's all about the SASHING and some squares!! Start with a simple block, add in some diagonally sewn squares in just the right places and then put together with a unique sashing and what a different look you create!! This is one pattern you'll want to make more than once.

Designed with beginners in mind, but unique enough for advanced quilters.

This pattern started out as a Mystery Quilt, so you will find the step-by-step instructions VERY EASY to follow and understand with LOTS OF DIAGRAMS.

The pattern is written with one option for the border, but other ideas can be easily done. In the one version, we ran short of the lighthouse fabric and had to substitute something different in the outer corners. If you need assistance, please contact us.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Throw: 63" x 78"
  • Full: 78" x 93"
  • Queen: 93" x 108"

  • The pattern uses five fabrics: a large print for the border, a light, a medium, a medium/dark, and a dark. You will use the border print to pull your other colors from.

You Will Also Need:

  • Sewing machine
  • Rotary cutting tools
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Iron and ironing board
