Pattern Description:

On a blustery, cold January day I went quilt shop hopping across central Nebraska with friends. The bright, spring colors of the fabrics on display in one of the shops chased away all thoughts of winter. I knew that I had to make something from those fabrics so, with no plan at all of how I'd use them, I bought several pieces.

A few days later I noticed that my family room could use some cheering up. A brightly colored table runner on my coffee table would be perfect and I had the just the right fabrics. I made two, of course. How could I resist? The mug rugs were just a bonus - a way to make sure nothing went to waste.

Have fun with this project! Play with the arrangements of flowers and such. Let your imagination go and enjoy the process of making something your own.

I'm a retired school teacher, and I've discovered that there is life outside of the classroom! I'm super busy and having a wonderful time. I spend parts of most of my days indulging my favorite hobbies, playing with with paper, pencils, fabrics and thread. Since I can't follow a pattern to save my soul because I have to tweak everything beyond recognition, I simply started making my own patterns. ...
