Pattern Description:

I love those beautiful printed panels, but some of them are just too narrow to simply add borders and make a nice sized quilt. I came up with this design to solve that problem! Simple pinwheel flowers make cute borders to fill out the sides, then simply add plain borders to make a good sized baby quilt, lap quilt, or wall hanging. In fact, these SpinFlower strips are so cute you can use them to make a simple quilt on their own by adding strips of a beautiful print that you don't want to cut into small pieces! This quilt goes together quickly, you can definitely get this one finished in an afternoon.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

approximately 46 x 58 depending on the width of the printed panel

Materials:

1 printed fabric panel 42 1/2 inches long, any width or enough yardage to cut 3 - 6 1/2 x 42 1/2 strips for strip version
1/4 yard fabric for pinwheel stems
1/4 yard fabric for pinwheel flowers
1/2 yard background fabric
3/4 yard fabric for inner border and binding
1 1/2 yard for outer border
