Look what is hiding in the woods! Very small woodland creatures, the butterfly and the snail, are easy to find in this quilt block. This nature block is sweet to have appliqued on a quilt or pillow. The appliques are easy to sew with large pieces to fit a 20 inch quilt block. The modern, stylized shape of the pattern pieces was inspired by the just released Once Upon A Time fabric line of Yuko Hasegawa for the very popular RJR fabric company. The pattern as sewn in the picture uses raw edge applique which frays when washed. This results in a rustic, folk look to the quilt.

There are 4 different animal blocks in this project. The entire quilt pattern with all 4 blocks is available and the other 3 patterns can be purchased separately.
