Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Sew a 1/4" seam
  • Be mildly proficient with a rotary cutter

Pattern Description:

I design quilts all the time, for tons of occasions, and with myriad inspirations - but this quilt came about because of my coworker's second son's birth. She wanted something unique that matched her plans for the nursery, but this can be done in any color scheme.

This simple quilt can be made in a weekend and is perfect for a birth or a birthday. The pattern includes yardage and tools needed, cutting and sewing instructions, and templates for the applique.

  • rotary cutter
  • iron
  • sewing machine
  • fusible webbing (about a yard)
  • tear-away stabilizer
  • scissors
  • cotton quilting material
