The Simple Bias Stars pattern is based on the traditional skewed stars block. While I was playing with the original design I also happened upon the Cathedral Windows pattern. Through divine inspiration the two patterns merged to make the Bias Stars!
This technique allows you to create the simplest star patterns and have dimension or curves! No triangles are required!! EXTREMELY simple piecing makes this a quick and easy project.
This is a great pattern for scraps too!
:) Enjoy

I have been crocheting since I was 12 years old and quilting for the past 11 years. I began teaching quilting techniques in 2004, designing patterns in 2006 and have been published in Asian Fabrics Magazine (issue #10 and #11). My favorite part of quilting now is the quilting and binding of a project. I currently quilt on my Bernina Artista 200. :)
I look forward to improving my machine quilting skills as time goes on and hope to win a national competition someday!
