Strip pieced quilts are so much fun to make.
The lantern pattern has been around since the early 1900's and was a favorite kind of string quilting construction favored by many women of the day. This is my interpretation of one of those old favorites.
This modern quilt pattern is beginner friendly and very easy to construct. The quilt design features easy construction using strips. This quilt is pieced with two fabrics. One light. And one dark.
The finished block size is 5 1/2 inches by 7 inches. The finished lap size quilt top measures 48 inches by 60 inches when completed. You can easily make a larger quilt top by simply making more blocks during construction.
The pattern includes complete instructions, along with colorful diagrams and assembly charts, and will print from your desktop printer.
