Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Use a rotary cutter, mat, and ruler
  • Stitch an accurate 1/4 inch seam

Pattern Description:

Make these cute, scrappy stockings just in time for Christmas! These stockings can look fabulous using just scraps--no fancy designer fabrics required.

There are five different stocking patterns included, and if you play with the block layout, you can come up with many, many more designs. You can also mix and match blocks from the different stockings as they are all the same size.

These stockings are for the intermediate or adventurous beginning quilter that has some experience with accurate seam allowances.

This pattern is packed full of color illustrations (one for every step) and very clear instructions. It is formatted to letter-sized paper for easy printing. I walk you through fabric quantities, cutting, piecing, and assembling the stockings. I also include a full-sized stocking template.

This is an original pattern, designed and created by me. It is for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not make these for commercial purposes without contacting me first.

The stockings pictured use Riley Blake's "Alpine Wonderland" fabric plus Kona solids.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Stockings are approximately 8.5 x 14", not including the loop.

  • Omnigrid 2.5" square ruler
  • Fabric marking pen

You Will Also Need:

  • Lightweight fusible interfacing
  • Low-loft batting or fusible fleece
