Pattern Description:

A "My Perfect Quilt Size(tm)" bed runner and table runner pattern. Change the mood or season quickly and easily! Bed runners are an easy and quick way to spruce up any bedroom! This pattern includes sizes to fit twin through king sized beds and the smallest size would make a great table runner, too. Includes full-sized templates for runner ends. Designed by Irene Huffman for Jazz Cat Designs.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Multi-sized table and bed runners - see Materials section


  • Table or Twin Bed Runner: 24" x 64"
  • Quilting fabric: Light, 3/4 yard; Medium, 1/2 yard; Dark, 1/2 yard; backing, 1-1/2 yard
  • Full Bed Runner: 24" x 80"
  • Quilting fabric: Light, 1 yard; Medium, 2/3 yard; Dark, 3/4 yard; backing 2-1/4 yard
  • Queen Bed Runner: 24" x 84"
  • Quilting fabric: Light, 1 yard; Medium, 2/3 yard; Dark, 3/4 yard; Backing, 2-1/4 yard
  • King Bed Runner: 24" x 112"
  • Quilting fabric: Light 1 year; Medium, 1 yard; Dark, 1 yard; Backing, 2-1/4 yard
  • Batting (cotton, bamboo, 80/20 preferred) 4" wider and 4" longer than finished runner.

You Will Also Need:

  • Sewing machine and accessories
  • Helpful: 1/4" piecing foot, walking foot, free motion foot
  • Rotary cutter with sharp blade / cutting mat
  • 6" x24" acrylic quilter's ruler AND 12" or 12-1/2" acrylic quilter's square-up ruler
  • Small, sharp scissors for trimming batting out of seams
  • General sewing supplies: straight pins, seam ripper, pencil, scissors, etc.
