I love this quilt, the colors are so fresh and cool, a perfect summer quilt!
does it come as a kit for king size?
I haven't create any kits for sale in general, maybe in the further...
I printed off your update! Thank you SO much for that! I will make it for sure again! Maybe a larger one for myself. I made the original for a baby quilt, was perfect size!
I thought it was a fun quilt to make, loved it!
I recently upgraded this pattern and rewrote the whole thing from the ground up. It's a 16 page pattern, not overwhelming I promise. I have included all kinds of goodies. Fabric requirements for all 7 quilt sizes: baby, crib, lap, twin, double, queen and king on pages 3 and 4.List of fabrics used in the Red, Pink and Aqua quilt shown on page 5.Cutting instructions on page 6.Block assembly and quilt top construction on pages 7, 14, 15 ad 16. Quilt Maps of all 7 sizes on pages 8-13.
I purchased your pattern, made the quilt, but noticed you had to cut 36 sashing strips and I found that I had to cut out 49 not 36.. I also cut 30 2" squares for Corner Stones, which wasn't mentioned in the original instructions. It turned out very nice, I love this quilt! :-)
Wonderful! I have those corrections covered in the update.
Is the pattern that is available today for $4.00 have the upgraded information that you mentioned above?
I would like to purchase this as a Kit or at least be able to know where to purchase the fabrics (in the same colours as on the pattern. Thank you for your assistance
judyspayd3741727 Yes, the current pattern is update with all the goodie.
ncntrlquilter I haven't create any kits for sale in general. The red, pink & aqua quilt sample was made up a couple years ago, some Michael Miller basics are still in print but not all fabrics are available today. My favourite place to find hard to get oldies but goodies is from an independent fabric shops on Etsy.
Glad you posted about the update! I sat down to purchase the pattern, but will wait. Thanks for the extra work you did in making it versatile with sizing!
The pattern upgrade is ready. I rewrote the whole thing from the ground up.
Having read the other comments, has the pattern been updated? Your fabric selection is gorgeous, but if your pattern doesn't include assembly directions, I am a little unclear on what the pattern would be?
Hey thereI will be distributing the update within the week, May 23 the latest. This update is really pretty and of course it is stuff with information on block assembly, tip and trick, fabrics used and you can make it in 7 different sizes! I tried my hardest to have this out sooner but I was bombarded with papers, artist statements, a massive painting, insane deadlines but it all ended with a stellar BFA Grad Show. I'll send you a message once it's in the shop. I
Thank you for your speedy response, Rachel! I will be on the lookout for your message.Tracey
Red, Pink & Aqua pattern upgrade is ready!
Is the updated pattern with assembly instructions and fabric requirements for different sizes available now as of March 23, 2014?
What is the name of this fabric line please? The Red, Pink &Agua 9 patch.
Most of the fabrics are by Michael Miller in the Mini Mikes fabric line. Also from Michael Miller dots in a couple different sizes. I'm compiling at list of the exact fabrics for everyone who is asking.Rachel
Rachel, I have established some of the fabrics you have used but not all. Do you know which fabric line the red butterfly print is from? Thank you. Joanne.
I found it in Michael Miller - "Flutter Butter" but I haven't found the other ones.
When do you anticipate adding the assembly instructions to the pattern? I just bought this pattern and could really use those instructions
I bought this pattern and was very disappointed. There are no assembly instructions, so it's useless for a beginner.
Hello, I'm sorry to hear your disappointment. I hope to make the assembly instruction for the 9 patch more clear in the updated pattern. Additionally I will be adding further fabric requirements and layouts for a baby, lap, twin, full/queen quilt sizes. I would be very happy to hear from you personally about any further questions or concerns, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.orgRachel
I also would like to know about this fabric. What pattern is it?
The fabrics used in this quilt are mostly Michael Miller fabrics however I cannot remember the fabric lines that were used.
I would love to know which fabric too. They are lovely.
Love to know the fabric xx
what is the fabric// I love it!!
What great colors, so crisp. I love red/white/blue. I usually use a med/dark blue, can't wait to do something in this shade of blue.
I am also wondering where the fabrics came from? I love them
