Quilting Tilework - Twin size My baby in her lovey-size blankie
Quilting Tilework - Twin size

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic sewing (by hand and machine) and rotary cutting skills

Pattern Description:

I made the original lovey-size quilt for my sweet baby girl, fashioned after a tiling project I had seen in a friend's pictures. I loved the pattern in the tiles, and wanted to reproduce it in fabric. I'm happy to report my baby loves her blankie! I've now extended the pattern for a much larger-sized version, fit for a twin-sized bed.
This is a very quickly-made quilt, even when checking and double-checking the layout for proper placement. For this larger quilt, I've increased the square size. The finished charms are 5 inches square, so please keep this in mind when choosing your patterned fabric, to ensure your pattern shows up well!
