Hi there! I am a chemical engineer/patent agent by day, a quilter at night, and a mom and wife all the time. I love my family and being a mom to my 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter. Combining my engineering and technical writing backgrounds with quilting has lead me to become a pattern designer. Designing, writing quilt instructions, and doing quilty math are some of my favorite aspects to quilting. I designed Peg's Garden for my wonderful Grandma-in-law Peg. She is 98 years old and has been a blessing in my family's life. I designed this quilt using some prints that I do not normally use, but I thought she would love them and go with her decor. I also included a good amount of negative space for some fun free motion quilting.
The quilt finishes at about 42.5" x 56" which is a little smaller than my normal lap quilts (we like them big in our family), but Grandma Peg is barely 5 feet tall so I made the quilt to fit her. The quilt is easily sized up by adding more blocks or could even be sized down for a baby quilt.
