Pattern Description:

Dresden Fan peacocks march proudly around this wallhanging, showing off feathers adorned with fussy-cut circles--perfect for favorite floral prints! Thorough, clearly illustrated instructions are included for the 46" x 46" quilt, including details on how to make the Dresden Fan units. Instructions are for hand applique but can be easily converted to your preferred method.

The pattern is delivered as a PDF file, with a 12-page instruction booklet on 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" pages (print two on one standard letter page, or view on your PDF-enabled e-reader or tablet) plus three 8 1/2" x 11" pattern sheets with full-size templates. US measurements are used throughout.

Materials:

1 yard total main background fabric
1/2 yard total corner background fabric
1 yard border fabric (see cover image for details)
Assorted print and solid fabrics for peacock feathers, each piece at least 10" x 4", plus scraps for circles on feathers
1/4 yard solid black fabric for peacock bodies
1/2 yard stripe fabric for peacock wings and quilt binding
3 yards backing fabric
50" x 50" batting
Scraps of nonwoven faux suede or wool felt for head feathers

You Will Also Need:

Freezer paper and spray starch or supplies for your favorite applique method
Pearl cotton or embroidery floss for eyes, legs, and head feathers
