Since retiring from my teaching career I've discovered that there is life outside of the classroom! I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes, so even if they look complicated, the instructions should be easy to follow.

Pretty pansies bloom in abundance this spring. With this little mug rug you can have the delicate purples and blue flowers right on your desk or coffee table. The mat is exactly the right size for a drink and a small snack.
This is one of a trio of mug rugs named "Baskets for Mom". You can purchase them individually or as a set. Check out the other patterns to see which you want.
Use these mini-quilts as mug rugs, hang them on a wall, or use them as blocks in a table runner or quilt.
The fusible web applique with raw edge stitching makes construction quick and simple.
This pattern contains instructions with photos, plus full size templates and full size layouts for this mini quilt.
