Pattern Description:

Old MacDonald is surrounded by chicks and the words to the folk song. Prairie points surround the larger border. This is a larger quilt good for draping across a crib or bed or snuggling in for a nap. It could be used for a large wall hanging. You can choose to embroider the words or write them using a paint pen.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

approximately 60" x 54"

Materials:

Fabrics: black for center panel and outer border - 1 2/3 yd., red novelty print for inner border - 1 1/3 yd., blue for overalls and prairie points - 1 yd., red fpr shirt - 1/3 yd., light brown for hat - 1/4 yard, medium brown for beard and pitchfork tines - 1/3 yd., dk. brown for underside of hat, shoes, and pitchfork handle - 1/3 yd., yellow for chicks and prairie points - 1/3 yd., (alternate fabric for prairie points could be scraps in colors from the novelty print), flesh - 1/4 yd. (see notes for dying your own)
embroidery floss in white, dark flesh, black,and brown
batting
backing - 4 yds. cut in half and sewn togethr lengthwise
