It's Thanksgiving and the silhouette children and their family are spending the holiday with their grandparents on their farm. This is a long way from the city in many ways, and one of those differences is in the chores they are assigned to do. While the cat sleeps by the fireplace and the dog romps with the farm dogs, the children are busy helping out with farm animals. The girl has been assigned the task of feeding the chickens and the boy is helping to care for a real kid, a baby goat.
These holidays with family will become treasured memories for which the grown up children will always give thanks. I know because long ago I was one of those children.
This pattern contains four pages of instructions with photos. It includes full size templates for the children and animals plus full size layouts of each of the mug rugs. The layouts show placement of applique pieces, and embroidery, and suggestions for quilting.
You will find that these mini-quilts are very easy to make. The sewing goes quickly, and the mug rugs will add a bit of traditional whimsy to a coffee table or desktop.
I would love to see photos of your completed work in the completed projects section of this pattern page.

Since retiring from my teaching career I've discovered that there is life outside of the classroom! I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes, so even if they look complicated, the instructions should be easy to follow.
