Since retiring from my teaching career I've discovered that there is life outside of the classroom! I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes, so even if they look complicated, the instructions should be easy to follow.

A puppy or a kitten. Both patterns included.
Two little pets with bottoms sticking up, nose to nose with new toys. What could be sweeter? The puppy has a colorful ball and the cat has a mouse with wheels. These little mug rugs are perfect for a desk or coffee table and just the right size to hold a mug and a small snack.
Or, picture this little pair hanging on a wall in a child's bedroom.
The pattern for a pair of mug rugs includes four pages of instructions with photos, full size templates for appliques, and two pages containing full size layouts for the placement of applique and embroidery.
