Basic Skills Necessary:

  • using a sewing machine, rotary cutter, ruler and mat

Pattern Description:

Do you collect neckties and wonder how you are going to make a quilt with them? Here you go! Simply pieced with chain blocks, half square triangles and necktie segments cut from your collection of silk & polyester ties. The pattern gives you clear instruction on making the tie units using fusible light stablizer to keep them from moving around when cutting and sewing. Make it for yourself, your husband or as a memory quilt!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Throw: 53" x 69", Twin: 80" x 96", Full: 86" x 98", Queen: 98" x 98", King: 110" x 98"


  • To make a throw: 13 assorted silk & polyester neckties, 1 2/3 yds cream print, 5/8 yd. darker taupe print, 1 1/8 yds. green batik, 1 1/2 yds. darker green/brown batik, 3 1/4 yds. backing, 1 3/8 yds. 20" wide light fusible stablilizer
