Basic Skills Necessary:

  • The technique explained in this pattern requires fusible web, water soluble pen and free motion quilting..

Pattern Description:

Print the pattern, transfer the design on the top fabric,
prepare the applique pieces then fuse them in place.

TEST Your Marking Pen
You have to mark the quilt top and fuse the pieces on it.
Test how your marking pen reacts to ironing.
On a fabric scrap mark and press over the marking. Then wash the piece.
Before starting to make the quilt, make sure the marking lines wash out completely.
Here is the marker I used.

Detailed suggestions for quilting are provided.

After finishing the quilting you have to wash the quilt.
Instructions for washing and drying are included as well.

Not enough time for a large quilt? Full size patterns for two additional smaller versions are included:
20'' (54 flowers) and 15'' (36 flowers) flower sphere.

This quilt is machine free motion quilted with a free motion (darning) foot and feed dogs down.
You can quilt anything on your flowers (stippling is PERFECT). I quilted feathers- free tutorial on my blog.
