I've been making things as long as I can remember, thanks to my Mom who is a great seamstress! My favorite has been quilting for 25 years now and now that my husband and I are empty nesters I am enjoying the opportunity to expand my expertise and creativity in this art. Pattern writing is a new outlet for me and I am enjoying sharing my creations. I especially love making patterns that are encouraging for beginner quilters - I try to make sure my directions are clear and well illustrated to take the frustration out of quilting and make it a joyful process!
Thanks so much for looking at my patterns!
This is a fun baby quilt made with two sizes of Monkey Wrench Blocks. I was inspired by the cute monkey fabric, but this quilt is a wonderful way to use any focal fabric combined with solids or tonal fabrics to make a small quilt for a child or infant.
Fully illustrated with detailed instructions, this quilt is easy to make and a great way to use traditional blocks in a contemporary setting. The smaller blocks add wonderful detail, while the use of the larger blocks make the quilt go together quickly.
The piecing in this quilt is easy enough for a beginner, and arranging the blocks in a pleasing manner is an enjoyable creative opportunity for any quilter. Definitely a quilt you can make over the weekend or in a couple evenings.
