Basic Skills Necessary:

  • inset piecing for border,
  • needle-turn or fusible applique

Pattern Description:

Make this gorgeous quilt in whatever style of applique you prefer. It takes a little more work to do this quilt, but you will have a heritage piece that your family will pass down from generation to generation. Don't forget to put a quilt label on it with your name, date of creation and location.

Materials:

  • 100% cotton fabrics
  • 1 yd. gold large flower print for pieced outer border
  • 1/2 yd. each of gold flower and brown flower print for blocks
  • 5/8 yd. dark brown print for inner border, snowball block tips and applique flowers
  • 3/8 yd. blue print for inner border and flower
  • 1/8 yd. each pale yellow print and pale green print for flower
  • 1/4 yd. each of medium yellow print and medium green print for inner border and dark green print for applique stems and leaves
  • 3/4 yd. green print for applique ribbon
  • 3 yds. backing
  • 1/2 yd. binding fabrics
  • Batting to fit.
  • This quilt is done in Montmartre Sunburst by Ro Gregg from Northcott Fabrics. Second quilt is done in French General Fabric.
