Pattern Description:

Try using fabric softener dryer sheets for the moon and reflection in this striking landscape art quilt.

There are lots of different color ways you could go with on this one. Do you have an awesome sky fabric in your stash? This is a great way to use it. Start with that and pick your colors from there.

Pattern includes 3 pages of instructions complete with photos and all 32 templates already reversed and ready to trace. You will learn easy freezer paper appliqu as well as fusible so this is good for a beginner. To do this kind of appliqu you do need to be able to free motion quilt as you sew around each piece but it's a good place to practice. If you are pretty good at FMQ you can really have fun with the sky and water.

  • Fabric requirements- batiks suggested Moon - 7"x7" Sky -19"x9" Water , 3 shades @19"x 6" Land 19"x6" - dock 5"x8" Dancer - 5"x 3" Assorted scraps for rocks Binding - 1/4 yd Backing - 20"x20" Batting - 20"x20"

You Will Also Need:

  • 1/2 yd freezer paper
  • 1/2 yd lite fusible web
  • Basic quilting supplies a rotary cutter, mat, pins, iron, scissors
  • Spray starch optional
