Fabric requirements- (small size in parentheses)
70-5" squares of assorted fabrics (16)
53-5" squares of background fabric (14)
64-5" X 14" strips of background fabric (17)
OR 192 (51)-5" squares sewn together to make the 5" X 14" strips
Note- If using the same fabric for the background,need 4 (1 1/8) yards*
6 (1 3/8) yards backing fabric **
5/8 (3/8) yard fabric for binding
Batting
*If using scraps for background, you will need-
245(65) 5" squares or 53(14) 5" squares and 64(17) 5"X 14" strips
** Or size recommended by your long arm quilter
All patterns in the Nickel Nine Patch series are constructed using nine patch blocks that are made from 5" squares or 5" strips.
