Since retiring from my teaching career I've discovered that there is life outside of the classroom! I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes, so even if they look complicated, the instructions should be easy to follow.

It's June and parks and campgrounds fill quickly with nature loving vacationers. The scenes depicted in this pair of mug rugs come straight from my memories of the summer we camped in the mountains.
This pattern contains four pages of instructions with photos. It includes full size templates for the children, puppies, skunk, and other pieces, as well as full size layouts of each of the mug rugs. The layouts show placement of applique pieces and the lines where embroidery is used.
You will find that these mini-quilts are very easy to make. The sewing goes quickly, and the mug rugs will add a bit of traditional whimsy to a coffee table or desktop.

I would love to see photos of your completed work in the completed projects section of this pattern page.
