Pattern Description:

Have a favorite set of coordinating prints? want to use some scrap stash? Jewel Box is simple-to-sew patchwork quilt with lots of options! It looks great with a variety of colorful prints, but would also be beautiful with "low volume" prints (or single color) and an emphasis on the diagonal pattern made by the solid color fabric "boxes".
The throw size (54"x63") requires only a Layer Cake plus a few fat quarters of solid fabrics.
Sizes can be easily adapted by adding borders, setting blocks on-point, or changing the number of blocks.

Materials:

  • rotary cutter, ruler, mat
  • sewing machine
  • needle and thread
  • scissors
