Pattern Description:

It's a Boy! It's a Girl! It's a Hoot! These owls make a super cute baby quilt to use as a quilt or as a wall hanging.

You can have it together before the baby comes and be ready to embroider. The hearts in the quilt make an ideal place to hand or machine embroider the name, date and time of birth, length and weight at birth, and even the Mother's and Father's names if you like.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 36" x 39"


  • Background Fabric - 2/3 Yard
  • Owls and Hearts - 6 to 8 Fat Quarters
  • Owl Eye Background - 1 Fat Quarter
  • Branch Fabric - 1/4 Yard
  • Leaves - 1 Fat Quarter
  • First Inner Border - 1/3 Yard
  • Second Inner Border - 1/3 Yard
  • Outer Border - 2/3 Yard (1-1/4 if directional)
  • Binding - 3/8 Yard

You Will Also Need:

  • Fusible for appliques, Tear-away interfacing
