Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic applique technique and embroidery

Pattern Description:

Celebrate winter's beauty with a snowman that will never melt.

Simple shapes make this design super easy to accomplish with any applique technique. Use very basic embroidery stitches and iron-on ribbon to embellish our frosty guy.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • About 15 x 21 inches


  • 1/2 pale blue for overall background and landscape midsection 1/2 yard pale aqua for the backing and binding 1 fat quarter pale gray for sky and motto Large scraps of white for the snowman, pale blue gray for the foreground, two reds for the scarf, black and dark gray for the chapeau and orange for the nose.

You Will Also Need:

  • Favorite Applique Tools Six strand embroidery floss in red, black, gray, dark orange, three shades of brown, bright green and Christmas red. 1/8" Iron-on ribbon in metallic blue for the motto Opalescent embroidery floss for the snowflakes.
