Basic Skills Necessary:

  • sew, applique, fuse applique

Pattern Description:

Fast and easy to make for your Holiday Table. You can either hand applique or fuse this adorable table runner. Learn how to paint with water color pencils to give your cookies that 3D affect.

When choosing fabric you may want to consider letting the fabric work for you by fussy cutting a particular part of the fabric. Such as I did with the gingerbread buttons and the main background fabric in the pattern.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 15-1/2" x 40-1/2"


  • Fray Check (R) Fabric basting glue for hand applique. Fine tip black permanent marker or black embroidery floss. 3 pages of cardstock. 1 -1/4 yard for background fabric center and backing (lighter to medium colored fabric is suggested. 1 fat qt. fabric for table runner ends. Assorted fabrics for gingerbread cookies. Basic sewing supplies. 16" x 41" Batting. Fusing for machine applique method. If you color your design you will need. Water color pencils, Folk Art Textile medium (R) small paint brush, small dish and black ink frixion pen made by Pilot (R)
