I fell in love with Robert Kaufman's Holiday Flourish collection and just had to design a Christmas quilt. The experience was one of those divine interventions - the quilt almost designed itself. It became a sky full of beautiful stars - a Heavenly Host of angels announcing "Peace, Good Will toward men."
I hope that you are, indeed, blessed with Peace as you construct it, and as you are warmed by the comfort of the Heavenly Host quilt.

My mother taught me to sew when I was 8 - doll clothes by hand, then she moved me on to her old Singer. Home Ec in the 7th grade solidified sewing as part of what makes me who I am. Interestingly, the school had a room full of treadle machines!

Throughout the years, clothing and home decor were my thing. Cutting a beautiful piece of fabric into little pieces and sewing them together again didn't make sense. But when my first great-niece was born, I made my first quilt for her and was hooked!
As a new quilter, I couldn't find designs that were easy enough, so, I got design software and started tinkering. Now that I am retired, I pretty much just quilt, design quilts, and line dance. My charity work is for Quilts of Valor - check them out at www.qovf.org. I'm not a pattern publishing house. I just love simple, traditional quilt designs that use only a few colors. Thanks to Craftsy.com, I can share them with you. I hope you enjoy them.
