I love "Storm-at-Sea" patterns. This is a better way to sew it. I am enjoying paper piecing. taught by Peggy Martin. This is just up my ally. Thanks Barbara Weiland!
Thanks so much. I agree--foundation piecing makes it much easier to get precise points and you don't have make templates for those diamond sections!Barbara
Love this so much I wanted to use it as a screen saver. Couldn't save to my pictures so you know what that means, yep have to make my own to get a pics of it. This is definetly my favorite quilt using the storm at sea blocks.
I have posted pictures of my Hearts Entwined quilt based on your pattern.
this quilt is so pretty..i love it..
Thanks so much!
Do you really need 3 1/2 yards of fabric for the binding? I'm thinking 1/2 yd will do it?
Thanks for catching my typo--1/2 yard it is!Barbara
Thanks to all who have loved and purchased this pattern. There is a typo in the binding yardage. You only need 1/2 yard--not 3 -1/2!
I uploaded a new version today with a few typos corrected and the Diamond template revised as I heard from someone that there was a problem. If you have downloaded this pattern previous to 3/23/12, go to your Pattern Library and download it again to replace the old file. My apologies to all for the error.
I hate paper piecing, but I LOVE this pattern. I guess I might just need to suck it up! Barbara, I want to make this quilt to raffle off for a fund raiser for my public library. Can I have permission to do so?
So sorry I didn't respond. Yes, it's OK to use any of my patterns for fundraisers.
