Pattern Description:

This sweet little skeleton is about as frightening as a kitten! He carries a Jack-o-Lantern and has a black cat at his feet. This colorful wall hanging will look adorable hanging for Halloween! It is large enough to serve as a lap quilt for the children in your life, if you choose.
His bones can be arranged differently very easily, so you can play with the layout before sewing it down! You can change the color scheme by simply changing the background colors!
This can easily be appliqued by machine as well as by hand. If you choose to sew the applique by machine, you can make this quilt easily in a weekend!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • approximately 54" x 35 1/2"


  • Fabric: 1 1/3 yd. blue for background of center panel (only 3/4 yard if not directional and can be used crosswise), whhite or cream (for skeleton) 1/2 yd., solid black (cat, hat, eyes) 1/3 yd., orange batik (bow, border, hat band) 1/3 yd., solid orange (pumpkin) scrap or fat eighth,solid yellow (stars) fat quarter or scraps, yellow for border 2/3 yd., black/white print border 1/3 yd.
  • Backing - 1 1/2 yd.
  • Batting

You Will Also Need:

  • Ribbons, assorted colors to coordinate with fabrics used. You will need about 1 yard of each of 8 different ribbons.
  • embroidery floss - black, yellow
  • glue stick for applique
  • freezer paper for applique
