Greta's Kaleidoscope

from EvaPaige Quilt Designs Hottie Haven shop
(7) Name: 'Quilting : Greta's Kaleidoscope
Greta's Kaleidoscope Greta in pink
Greta's Kaleidoscope Greta in purple

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Rotary cutting, knowledge of color value, chain piecing

Pattern Description:

The points are meant to be cut off; that's my story and I'm sticking to it. The red headed stepchild of "Syncopated Ribbons", "Greta's Kaleidoscope" uses funky piecing of strips and squares to create off kilter blocks that seem to spin like a kaleidoscope. The spinning 9" blocks are a wonderful way to show off some favorite fabrics and the forgiving piecing methods make this quilt perfect for any quilter from confident beginner on up. Much like its predecessor, you really can't screw this quilt up. Lots of fun and looks great in all the new mosaic and modern fabrics! Baby (55" square), lap (55" x 72") and twin (72" x 85") sizes included.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 55" x 72" Lap size. Pattern also includes baby and twin sizes.

  • 2 3/4 yards coordinating fabric A (blocks and border)
  • 2 1/2 yards contrasting fabric B (blocks, border, binding)

You Will Also Need:

  • Batting
  • 6" x 24" ruler
