Pattern Description:

This quilt is large enough to throw across a bed or to use as a large wall hanging. It depicts Goldilocks with the Three bears looking down at her from above. The recipe for porridge is embroidered around the border along with vines and appliqued leaves. What little girl wouldn't love snuggling up in this quilt! It would also be great for a school foyer!
These are full sized patterns that you can trace off onto freezer paper, cut out, and iron onto the right side of your fabric. When you cut them out, leave a seam allowance around the edges and use a glue stick to turn the seam allowance to the wrong side.There is a tutorial for my applique method on my blog, Buzzing and Bumbling, but you can use any method for this pattern, including machine applique.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

approximately 45 1/2" x 65 1/2"

Materials:

Fabric: gold for center panel - 2/3 yd., black border - 1 yd., cream border - 2/3 yd.,
fat quarters: red (pinafore), green (dress, leaves), brown, (bears), tan (bears), gold (hair)
scraps: solid black (shoes),white (eyes), brown stripe (stockings), gray (glasses for Papa bear)
embroidery floss in red, green, dk. flesh, black, brown, blue, white
batting
backing - 4 yds. cut in half and sewn togethr lengthwise
