Pattern Description:

Garden Maze is an original quilt pattern for a small wall hanging with a stained glass look. I have taught this as a class and my students all had stunning results. Construction is done using only straight piecing and does not use bias tape. Choose a colour-way and collect fabric strips in a variety of shades from light to dark; batiks or tone on tone prints work well. Extra fabric would be required to match directional prints.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

16 1/2" x 25"

Materials:

5" x 5" scrap light 1 (innermost square / lightest shade)
1 - 2 1/2" strip light 2
1 - 2 1/2" strip medium
1 - 2 1/2" strip dark
1/4 yd / .2 m scraps in a variety of shades for pieced border or
1/4 yd / .2 m border fabric for solid border option
1/2 yd / .4 m solid black grout, zinger & binding fabric
⅝ yd / .5 m backing and batting

You Will Also Need:

Neutral 100% cotton sewing thread, rotary cutter and ruler, quilting thread to match fabrics.
